WP3

Modelling

Objectives

In this WP different approaches will be applied to connect local information on release to fate and effects of chemicals to landscape level proxies. This upscaling will be based on the results of case studies 1, 3, 4 and 5 (WP2) and linked to the Risk Assessment and stakeholder WPs (WP4 and WP1). Specific aims are to:

  1. Determine the environmental fate of agrochemicals for specific scenarios and associated exposure quantities

  2. Develop a methodology to select focal species for the risk assessment of biodiversity, ecosystem services and bioaccumulation/biomagnification

  3. Determine the importance of different routes of exposure key species with different life histories and trats using TK/TD modelling

  4. Determine effect thresholds for key species under different exposure scenarios, by applying the developed TK/TD models

  5. Model local risks of agrochemicals to landscape level impacts on biodiversity, ecosystem services and bioaccumulation/biomagnification.

Description of work

  • Task 3.1. Environmental fate of agrochemicals for specific scenarios.

  • Task 3.2 Choice of focal species for the three assessments

  • Task 3.3 TK/TD modelling of routes of exposure

  • Task 3.4 Assessment of effects on biodiversity at the landscape level

  • Task 3.5 Assessment of effects on ecosystem services at the landscape level

  • Task 3.6 Assessment of bioaccumulation and biomagnification in food-webs
