The 3rd Conference of the International Association for Biomonitoring of Environmental Pollution (IABEP 2025) will take place in in Belgrade, from 13-15 October 2025.
Our project member Siliva Lacorte is attending the event.
With the organisation of Institute of Physics Belgrade, University of Belgrade (IPB), the event will will gather experts, researchers, and professionals in the field of biomonitoring of environmental pollution on all terrestrial and freshwater habitats. It will also feature insightful presentations, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities focused on the latest advancements, challenges, and solutions in biomonitoring.
Main topics will include:
Biomonitoring techniques to monitor the spatial and temporal patterns of pollution and its impact, including biodiversity, pollutant accumulation, molecular markers, and magnetic analysis
Novel biomonitoring techniques and methodologies
Emerging pollutants, their toxicity and their impacts on ecosystems
Advances in bioindicators and biomarkers for pollution monitoring
Bioremediation and phytoremediation for pollution degradation and removal
Integrating biomonitoring data into risk assessment and decision-making processes
