SYBERAC consortium meets in Denmark
The University of Aarhus (AU) invited the fellow SYBERAC project members to meet in Aarhus, Denmark, for the 2025 in-person consortium meeting.
SYBERAC project team in Aarhus, Denmark
Accompanied by a few autumn sunbeams, we sat together for two days and connected with each other about the current status of the project.
All case study leads (WP2) showed the work they had done in the past field research season, to relate the case studies to one another and work on how the modelling in WP3 can be connected. Also, we discussed how the various stakeholders (WP1) will be brought together for the more policy-oriented work in WP4, where we’re developing new approaches to environmental risk assessment (ERA). For reaching outside the project, we considered how we can network even more with other projects and initiatives to build a dialogue about ERA and disseminate SYBERAC’s results (WP5).
There was also a small, follow-up excursion to the case study site at Høje Taastrup (CS4A, between Roskilde and Copenhagen), where the AU-ENVS-team around Kai Bester is studying the effects of compounds of emerging concern (CECs) from sewage sludge on soil ecosystems.
Thanks to James Henty Williams and Luna Kondrup Marcussen from AU-SOC for organising this meeting!
