World Soil Day 2025: Showcasing SYBERAC at UC-Biotech

On 5th December, we turned our attention to the ground beneath our feet to mark World Soil Day. To celebrate the occasion, our partners at the University of Coimbra (UC) hosted an event at UC-Biotech in Cantanhede, bringing soil science into focus for local stakeholders.

The gathering provided an excellent opportunity to present work from the SYBERAC project, specifically looking at the progress within Work Package 2 (WP2) and Case Study 5. Rather than just a presentation of data, the event served as a forum for discussing how systems-based environmental risk assessment can support regional sustainability goals.

We were pleased to welcome key representatives from the Municipality of Cantanhede and Biocant Park to the session. Their attendance underscores the vital connection between research institutions and local governance, helping to drive engagement and demonstrate the real-world impact of the project.
